Design concept

The building sits lightly above the terrain and submits to the topography. A narrow, dark entrance compresses the arrival before the interior opens up. A radial geometry organises walls, niches and views between slope and river.

02

Development

Site analysis, hand drawings, study models and variants develop an approximately 80 m² bath house with changing area, resting room, showers, storage and covered outdoor space. Models and detail sketches resolve placement, space and construction.

03

Construction and material

Slender timber columns support a dense grid of timber beams. Non-load-bearing timber walls are deliberately charred; the carbonised surface protects the wood and creates a dark, resilient skin. Structure, roof and enclosure follow one radial order.
